CeBIT 2007. Foxconn: Motherboards on Intel, NVIDIA, VIA, SiS Core Logic CeBIT 2007. ASUS, The Last Part CeBIT 2007. GeIL: Black Dragon CeBIT 2007. Scythe: New Ninjas And Katanas CeBIT 2007. HIPER: PSUs, Enclosures, Peripherals CeBIT 2007. Foxconn: Motherboards on Intel, NVIDIA, VIA, SiS Core Logic At CeBIT 2007 Foxconn showcases a wide gamma of motherboards mostly designed for Intel processors.  In particular, like many other vendors Foxconn offers solutions for Intel's 45nm CPUs. Such as the Q357MA-8KRS2H (Intel Q35 + ICH9DO) with Intel vPro that supports up to 8GB of DDR2-800/667.  The G337MA-8EKRS2H (Intel G35 + ICH9R) features integrated graphics and 4 x SATA II (RAID) and supports DDR2-1066/800/667/553.  The P357AB-8EKRS2H supports up to 8GB of DDR3 memory. This high-performance solution also features 2 x PCI Express x16, 6 x SATA II (RAID 0, 1, 5, 0+1), FoxOne proprietary technology.  The similar P357AA-8EKRS2H differs by supporting more affordable DDR2. Intel P35 offers this opportunity, as you remember.  NVIDIA-based solutions include the MCP68M2MA-8EKRS2H on MCP68 and MCP737MA-S2H on MCP73PV. The former is designed for AMD processors and supports DDR2-800/667/533 memory, features 4 x SATA II, 8-channel audio, IEEE 1394a.  The latter supports only DDR2-667/533, has 2 x SATA II and is designed for Intel Core 2 Quad, Core 2 Extreme, Core 2 Duo processors. While core logic from Intel, AMD, and NVIDIA can be found in the majority of motherboard exhibited at CeBIT 2007, we can see there are some other chipsets as well.  Based on SIS671 + 968, 671FX7MA-8EKRS2H supports Intel Core 2 Extreme and Core 2 Duo processors, up to 4GB of DDR2-667/533/400, features 2 x SATA II, Gigabit Ethernet, IEEE 1394a, USB 2.0, 8-channel audio.  Another novelty bases on VIA P4M900 + VT8237A - the P4M9007MB-8EKRS2H. It is also designed for Intel Core 2 Extreme and Core 2 Duo and supports up to 4GB of DDR2-667/533/400. CeBIT 2007. ASUS, The Last Part In the last part of our visit to the booth of ASUS we'll take a look at CPU coolers. The most interesting are Arctic Square, Pirates 70, and Pirates 75. The Arctic Square peculiarities of the Silent Square - since the fan is located in the heatsink center, the cooler measures just 108x106x135 mm.  The Pirates series includes two rather different solutions, based however on the same heatsink with a copper base, aluminium fins, and three heat-pipes. CeBIT 2007. GeIL: Black Dragon A lot of CeBIT exhibits are addressed to gaming enthusiasts.  In particular, GeIL showcases an extreme gaming memory kit named Black Dragon. It includes 4 x DDR2-800 CL5 modules with total capacity of 8GB. Besides, GeIL showcases DDR2-1300+ overclocker memory as well as DDR3 and FB-DIMM modules. Source: Our reporters at CeBIT 2007, GeIL
At CeBIT 2007 ASRock and abit showcase a number of interesting novelties.  ASRock's motherboards base primarily on AMD's core logic. The 4Core1333-DVI/H supports Intel Core 2 Extreme, Core 2 Duo, Pentium XE, Pentium D, Pentium 4, Celeron D processors and bases on ATI Radeon Xpress 1250 (an analog of AMD 690G for Intel) + ATI SB600. The board supports 1333 MHz FSB, features DVI-D (HDCP) and VGA interfaces, PCI Express x16 slot, Asymmetric Physics slot. The latter enables to add physics accelerator to graphics subsystem. Finally, there's an 8-channel HDA codec, 4 x SATA II (RAID) and a Gigabit Ethernet controller.  The ALiveA690G-DVI/H AM2 supports AMD Athlon 64FX, Athlon 64 X2, Athlon 64, Sempron processors and bases on the AMD 690G + ATI SB600 core logic. Both boards are similar, but our reporter believes the ALiveA690G-DVI/H will be cheaper. By the way, this board obtained the AMD Live! Ready certificate.  abit also expands its motherboard series with AMD-based novelties, but unlike ASRock products these are based on NVIDIA chipsets. The higher-end AN-M2HD on nForce 7050 features FireWire, HDMI, VGA, S-Video interfaces.  The junior AN-M2 on nForce 7025 lacks FireWire and has DVI instead of HDMI. CeBIT 2007. Scythe: New Ninjas And Katanas Our reporter visited the booth of Scythe, which is known for its cooling solutions. One of the most interesting novelties is the Water Ninja CPU cooler able to operate in both passive (as a usual Ninja) and liquid-cooling modes.  On the next photo you can see the Mini Ninja which still resembles its prototype. Being relatively small (110x110x115 mm), it's literally threaded with heat-pipes. The Mini Ninja weighs 510 g.  The next one is unambiguously named Kama Cross.  Kama Cross specs:
The Musashi graphics card cooling solution bases on heat-pipes and dual 100mm fans (up to 1500 rpm, thermode):  The Quit Drive 2 is meant for those willing to silence their hard drives.  The Kama Connect 2 is able to keep a 3.5" or 2.5" HDD silent with its silicon "coats."  The Katana 2 features a new skewed-fin heatsink.  Katana 2 specs:
This photo shows a completely passive cooling solution (excluding blowers, of course)  And this cooler will hardly be serially produced. Three fans suck air in, one blows it out.  Finally, here's the all-copper Katana 2. It provides higher efficiency than the aluminium model (2-3°C) and is very heavy. The latter might prevent it from getting into serial production. CeBIT 2007. HIPER: PSUs, Enclosures, Peripherals At CeBIT 2007 HIPER showcases products of its primary and newer specializations. A couple of weeks ago the company released two high-power PSUs with USB 2.0 ports and a cellphone charger interface - HPU-5B770 and HPU-5M830. Now it turns out there will be a third model as well - a 670W HPU-SK670.  Besides PSUs, HIPER is also known for its keyboards. In the spotlight is an original one with aluminium coating.  Another series - HCK-RFK1/RFC1 - consists of wireless keyboards to be shipped only together with media PC enclosures.  The latter represent company's new specialization. Currently there are two such enclosures, HMC-1K53A and HMC-1S53A.  The vendor claims these two are the thinnest media PC enclosures, being just 5.3 cm thick.  Source: Our reporters at CeBIT 2007
